Review of ‘‘Pulled Over: How Police Stops Define Race and Citizenship’’

Abstract

My ~900 word review of Charles Epp and colleagues’ book on racial disparities in traffic stops. The authors draw a distinction between investigatory stops and traffic safety stops, and show that the former disproportionately target African American drivers while the latter do not.
